Draft. This page describes our current practices in plain terms. It has not yet been reviewed by a legal adviser and is not a substitute for a formal privacy notice.
What we collect
- Billing data. Handled entirely by Stripe. We store a customer reference, your plan and its status — never card numbers, which never reach our servers.
- Account data. If you create an account: your email address, display name and authentication records.
- Product usage. Aggregate, privacy-conscious analytics about which features are used. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data.
Data about YouTube channels and videos
ViceRadar analyses publicly available information about YouTube videos and channels, retrieved through the official YouTube Data API. This includes video titles, publication times, public view and engagement counts, and public channel statistics.
We record these values over time in order to calculate how quickly a video is gaining views. We do not collect private analytics, watch history, or any data about individual viewers.
Our use of the YouTube API is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Why we collect it
To operate the service: to authenticate accounts, calculate topic momentum and outlier performance, deliver the alerts you configure, and bill subscriptions.
Who we share it with
We use third-party providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery, error monitoring and payment processing. They process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your personal data, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. If you have configured alerts by email, every message includes an unsubscribe option.
